There was a wise man that used to go to the ocean to do walk along the shore. One day while he was walking he saw a young man doing something. He went to take a closer look and saw him throwing starfish into the ocean.
"Greetings young man, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" the wise man asked.
"The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die." the young man replied.
"But young man, don't you realise that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it? You can't possibly make a difference." the wise man chuckled.
The young man listened politely. He picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea and said, "It made a difference for that one."
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
P is for Pencil
Before putting the pencil in the box, the pencil maker told the pencil, " There are 5 things I want you to remember, and if you follow them you will become the best pencil."
1. You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but that will make you a better pencil.
2. You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in someone's hand.
3. The most important part of you is whats inside.
4. Whatever mistakes you make can be erased.
5. You must leave your mark. In whatever situation, you must leave your mark.
The pencil understood, and went into the box. Now switch places with this pencil, and remember all these rules. You will become the best person there is.
Footprints
There was a man who died, and arrived at a beach. The beach reflects one's life by using footprints. There, Jesus was present beside the man. They both stared at the footprints left. There were good times and bad times.
The good times, there were two pairs of footprints, the man and Jesus's.
The bad times, there were only one pair of footprints.
The man asked, "Why did you leave me alone at the bad times?"
Jesus smiled. Then he replied, "In those times, dear friend, I was the one who carried you."
